I decided to put it to the test in the worst conditions possible: I didn't use a cable, for the input I actually used a low-quality microphone. I plugged the guitar in my amp and placed the microphone in front of it. I figured that if the game works with that, it'll work with mostly anything. And hey, it worked! I played Where is my Mind since I figured it was simple enough that I could tell if something was wrong in the note detection and everything went smooth.
I'm still gonna stick to the cable since 1) It means not having to use headphones (to stop the sound from my speakers from looping with the microphone) and 2) it means I don't have to use an amp (meaning that if I want to bother no one when playing, I CAN use headphone and make no sound by using neither speakers or amp). But this at least means that people have alternatives now. I found a EXE that disables the device check which reportedly lets some people play with alternative devices/cables depending on setup used. NOTE: I have not personally tested this as I don't play guitar, so use at own risk and backup EXE before replacing with modified one. It is virus-free, so risk mainly consists of possibly breaking game which should be reversable if you backup original files first.
It is a modied EXE, so you just need to place it in your Rocksmith install folder overwriting original crack EXE (after backup of it). For it to work you need to disable all other recording devices than the one you want to use with Rocksmith. Set device audio setting at 48khz 16 bit mode and allow Exclusive Mode if supported by device.
If problems in Vista/Win7 run Rocksmith with WinXP SP3 compatibility settings. (. use at own risk. Spytech spyagent 8.5 crack. ) Troubleshoot info.
Code: You need the updated NoCable crack for DLC's to work. Place DAT-files (only) included in DLC-packs into /Rocksmith/Content/ folder.

I have a dual screen setup with my TV. And like I told you, it was only possible to use the 'standard' speaker output with this game, otherwise it would fail miserably. Well, after a lot of experimentation, some googling, some help from a friend, I finally 'tuned' my rocksmith settings file to be able to use my USB audio interface, and I can play on the TV instead of playing on the computer screen.

I was also very happy to find out that you can control the game with an xbox 360 controller, so I don't have to get the keyboard all the way to the couch All in all, it makes for a very enjoyable game experience. I hope this is helpful to someone!!

I thought I'd post what finally worked for me after days of trying to get this game to work in hopes of saving other people some frustration. Before I do, let me just say that I've never seen such a poorly managed software release. First we wait a year for the PC version, with new release dates set every two months, and then when it's finally released, it took me (and many others based on Google searches) days to get it running. The good news.I LOVE THIS GAME now that it's finally running. Issue #1: Game doesn't launch. Steam runs fine, but when I would launch Rocksmith, I would get a brief 'launching' popup and then.nothing. No error message, no game, no nothing.
Also glad you worked out your issues and are enjoying the game.which I also love. It runs great on my PC right out of the box, and I've got like 8 things plugged into my USB ports.mouse, keyboard, game controller (N52), joystick, G35 headset, Rocksmith cable, label printer.and USB hub. I have the RS cable plugged into one of the front panel USB ports. Bear in mind the cable needs a USB port with 100ma power available so if other USB loads are using too much power it will have problems. So far it's working great for me, lag is almost zero using the rear speaker port to drive headphones. There is some buzzing and popping when using the high gain effects, and the game did crash on exit once.requiring a computer restart.which is very rare for Win7 64.in fact I don't think I've ever had to actually restart the PC before to clear a program crash.

The games learning program is a bit messed up for me. I've been playing a long time and bought the game to inspire me to play more.so all the techniques I know and perform well.although I don't know the songs.so the program is a bit confused.as I'm a decent player as far a my hands.but only learn the songs as fast as anyone else.
